Creating Events

Create a New Event

  1. Navigate to Events > Create Event
  2. Fill in the event details:

NameEvent title
DescriptionWhat the event is about
Event TypeOne-time, Recurring, or Multi-day
CampusWhich campus hosts this event
LocationVenue or room name
Start Date/TimeWhen the event begins
End Date/TimeWhen the event ends
CapacityMaximum attendees (optional)
RegistrationEnable/disable online registration
VisibilityPublic (visible to all) or Private (invite only)

Managing Events

From the event page, you can:

  • Edit event details
  • View registered attendees
  • Send communications to registrants
  • Take attendance on the day of the event
  • Cancel the event (notifies registrants)

Event Status

StatusDescription
DraftNot yet published, only visible to staff
PublishedVisible to members, registration open
ClosedRegistration closed, event still upcoming
CompletedEvent has ended
CancelledEvent was cancelled
